During all treatment sessions, 'CBT - Making Changes' ensures that all Codes of Conduct provided by the BABCP and NMC are abided by at all times, this is to ensure that high standards of professional practice, confidentiality and effective treatments are received.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) treatment sessions can be arranged through self referrals, as well as referrals from Private and NHS organisations.

If you would like to make an appointment for a Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) assessment and treatment plan, there are several options of therapy which are available:

  • Video Conferencing - using services such as Zoom / Microsoft Teams.
  • Home therapy, in the comfort of your own home
  • Telephone therapy
  • web chat 

An initial Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) assessment will be carried out to identify the problem and to discuss the most appropriate treatment method and period of treatment required. The course of treatment provided can be between 6 - 20 sessions.

Treatment session times

  • An initial assessment CBT - 60 minutes
  • Treatment sessions CBT - 50 minutes
  • Home therapy sessions CBT - 50 Minutes
  • An initial assessment EMDR - 90 Minutes
  • Treatment sessions EMDR - 90 Minutes
